How to buy your first domain or hosting product
Buying on NextShopper means searching the public store, adding items to the Cart, completing Checkout, and then managing the product in the client portal. Domains, hosting, email, and SSL can share one cart and one invoice. You do not need a separate “order form” after payment—the portal is where fulfillment and renewals live.
This guide walks a first purchase from storefront search through payment and the first portal check.
Who this guide is for
- Customers who just created an account
- Anyone ready to register a domain, add hosting, or both in one checkout
- Business buyers who need a VAT-style invoice after payment
Before you start
- Create and (ideally) verify your email.
- Decide currency (BDT or USD) in the storefront header before you fill the cart—prices are re-quoted in that currency.
- Have a payment method ready: card (Stripe), PayPal (USD carts), bKash (BDT), or bank transfer details if you choose that option.
- For hosting, email, or SSL, know the primary domain you will attach (optional on some plans, but helpful at checkout).
Staff never need your full card number. Card data goes to the payment provider, not the NextShopper application.
Step-by-step: register a domain
- Open Domains (or the homepage search).
- Type a name (for example
acmeoracme.com) and select Search. - Review results: Available, Taken, or manual review for some TLDs.
- Select Add on an available name. Confirm Added / cart feedback.
- Optionally add more names or open Hosting and choose a plan for the same cart.
- Open Cart. Review line items, remove mistakes with Remove, apply a Coupon if you have one, then select Continue to checkout.
- On Checkout, complete Account & registrant fields (name, email, phone, address, country). Accept the agreements (terms, privacy, and domain registration where shown).
- Choose Payment and finish with Pay / provider flow.
Step-by-step: buy hosting (with or without a new domain)
- Open Hosting and compare plans (shared, managed WordPress, and related groups).
- Choose a billing cycle (monthly or annual where offered).
- If asked, enter a Primary domain for hosting, email, and SSL (optional).
- Add the plan to the cart, then continue through Cart → Checkout as above.
You can also start from the portal sidebar Store → Register a domain, which returns you to the public search experience while you remain signed in.
What happens next / how to verify success
- You receive an invoice under Billing → Invoices (
/client/invoices). - Open My products → Domains or Hosting to see the new items.
- For domains, open the name to manage DNS, contacts, Lock & transfer, and renewals. Watch for FOA email if the registry requires it—see How to confirm the registrant email (FOA).
- For hosting, check status on the service page. Queued provisioning is normal briefly; see What queued, failed, or suspended hosting means.
Home may list unpaid invoices or products that need attention until everything settles.
Common problems
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| Cart empty after add | Confirm currency did not reset mid-session; add again and open /cart |
| Manual TLD path | Read the search note before paying; staff may need to complete fulfillment |
| Payment declined | Try another method, or use bank transfer and wait for staff to mark paid |
| Products missing after pay | Confirm you are signed in with the checkout email; check Invoices for the paid order |
| Tax surprise | Tax is calculated from billing Country—update profile/checkout country if wrong |
Frequently asked questions
Do I need hosting to register a domain?
No. Domains and hosting are separate products. You can register only a name and point DNS later.
Can I pay later with bank transfer?
Yes when that method is offered. Use the invoice number as the reference so staff can match funds.
Where is my receipt?
Open the paid invoice and use Print / PDF for records—see How to download a paid invoice.
Can I cancel before provisioning finishes?
Check Refund Policy and open a ticket quickly if the order was a mistake.
