How to point a domain at NextShopper hosting
Pointing means DNS answers send visitors to the server that runs your hosting product. You typically either (a) set the domain’s Nameservers to the hosts NextShopper documents for hosted DNS, then create A/CNAME records in the portal, or (b) keep external nameservers and create A/AAAA/CNAME records there aimed at the hosting targets shown on the service.
This guide walks both patterns using portal Hosting details and domain DNS tools so your site stops showing a parking page.

Before you start
- Open Hosting and note Primary domain, status, username/adapter details when present.
- Confirm status is not stuck in failed provisioning—see status guide.
- Decide whether NextShopper will host DNS or an external DNS provider will.
- If the domain already runs email elsewhere, preserve MX while changing only web records.
- Have the target IP or CNAME from the hosting service/panel documentation ready.
Option A — NextShopper DNS, then records
- On the domain, set Nameservers to the NextShopper DNS hosts you were given (minimum two)—see How to change domain nameservers.
- Wait for NS propagation.
- Open DNS records and create the A/CNAME values your hosting product documents (apex and
wwwas required). - Save each record—see How to add, edit, or delete DNS records.
- Complete SSL/DCV if the certificate panel asks—see DCV DNS.
Option B — keep external DNS
- From Hosting, copy the target IP or CNAME hostname for the service.
- At your external DNS host, create matching web records for
@andwww. - Do not change NS unless you intend to move DNS hosting.
- Leave MX untouched unless you are also moving email to NextShopper.
What happens next / how to verify success
- Wait for DNS TTL to expire.
- Visit
http://your-domainandhttps://once SSL is ready. - Confirm the hosting panel shows the domain attached when applicable.
- Send a test from an external network (mobile data) to avoid local DNS cache confusion.
